Visitor and Long Term Yacht Moorings in Argyll

Situated in Airds Bay at Taynuilt on Loch Etive, the Association manages and administers up to 50 moorings in an area of beautiful Loch Etive. A visitor mooring is available.

Ardminish Bay offers 6 mooring buoys rated to 25 tonnes (orange) and 17 mooring buoys rated to 15 tonnes (blue), both with a 22.5 metre swing circle radius. There are also 8 pontoons.

A single trot of buoys with pickups suitable for vessels up to 12m. Moorings are available on a first come first served basis. Vessels using these moorings must have 3rd party insurance.

Carrick Castle Boat Club owns three blue 15-tonne visitors’ moorings, one cable north of the castle. Pay online, details on web page.

16 swing moorings offer safe harbour for boats of up to 15 tonnes and a stunning view of the Paps. There is a dinghy landing pontoon, and plenty of faacilities available ashore.

12 moorings available on a first come basis. No dedicated yacht facilities (water, fuel) but toilets, showers and shops are available in the village of Arinagour.

6 moorings for up to 10 tons. These community-owned moorings are available on a ‘first come-first served’ basis and the cost is £20 per day.

Four offshore moorings for boats up to 40 feet or 10 tonnes in weight, and berthing at the stone pier, with easy access to superb onshore facilities.

55 moorings accommodating vessels up to 60 tons and 20m in length with 8 alongside berths, 3 sturdy yard dinghies for customer use. Diesel, water and power available at pontoons.

100 moorings for resident and visiting yachts, with diesel and water on a deep water pontoon and shower and toilet facilities. Free water taxi for resident yachts during working hours.

7 visitor moorings available April to October for the use of hotel guests and visitors arriving by sea. Free if you dine in the restaurant, otherwise £15/night.

16 short stay visitor moorings in Oban Bay in the former anchoring area at Cardingmill Bay off Dungallan Parks, near to Oban Sailing Club. Visitor moorings with reasonable mooring fees

Six moorings designed for boats up to 45ft or 10 tonnes in weight available for use between spring and autumn. First come first served, pay online.

Four visitor moorings (charges and payment method are displayed on the mooring cans). Visitors are welcome to stay on the pontoon overnight on a first come first served basis.
